About the Opportunity

A leading advanced technology manufacturer is seeking Engineering Technicians to support the assembly, testing, and production of highly complex mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems in a cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and test complex mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems
• Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions
• Utilize hand tools, test equipment, and computer systems to support assembly and testing activities
• Identify, report, and assist in resolving recurring product or process issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and manufacturing performance
• Troubleshoot technical problems that arise during assembly and testing processes
• Support pilot production activities and transition products from prototype builds into volume manufacturing
• Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and production records
• Evaluate process changes and provide recommendations for product and process improvements
• Coordinate activities according to production schedules and manufacturing priorities
• Monitor and maintain proper use of tools, materials, and equipment
• Support team knowledge sharing and collaborate with engineering and production teams
• Follow cleanroom protocols and maintain strict quality and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical assembly and testing experience
• Electrical or electro-mechanical experience, including wiring and basic electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience using hand tools and test equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Computer proficiency for documentation, testing records, and production systems
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while following strict procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing internship, co-op, or technical work experience

• Associate"s Degree, Bachelor"s Degree, technical certification, or diploma in:

• Engineering

• Engineering Technology

• Mechanical Technology

• Electrical Technology

• Chemical Technology

• Related technical disciplines

• Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, test, or engineering support environments

• Lean Manufacturing training or exposure, including:

• 5S

• Kaizen

• Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

• Continuous Improvement

• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives

• Familiarity with prototype builds and pilot production programs

• Previous cleanroom experience

Work Environment

• On-site position in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment

• Initial training schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM for approximately two weeks

• Transition to a compressed work week (CWW) schedule following training

• Day Shift Options:

• 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

• Includes daily overtime

• Night Shift Options:

• 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

• Includes daily overtime plus a 15% shift differential

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilton, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
