About the Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support electronic testing, troubleshooting, and new system development in a growing manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the board and component level, collaborating with engineering teams, and solving complex technical issues.

What You'll Do

• Perform in-process testing of circuit boards and electronic systems
• Troubleshoot issues down to the component level
• Write and execute test procedures for electronics and assemblies
• Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, and high-voltage systems
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and wire lists
• Load and configure software for system testing
• Partner with Engineering on new product development and system validation
• Identify, document, and report recurring faults and failures
• Return defective components to Quality Assurance with detailed findings
• Support field installations, inspections, and repairs (domestic & international travel)
• Assist with test fixture design (a plus)

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical/electronic testing or troubleshooting

• Strong experience with:

• PCB (printed circuit board) testing

• Oscilloscopes and digital voltmeters (DVM)

• Board-level troubleshooting

• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams

• Knowledge of digital electronics and test equipment

• Strong computer and documentation skills

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field
• Experience with high-voltage testing or power supply/power conversion systems
• Background in analog and digital circuits
• Previous work in a manufacturing or engineering test environment
• Test fixture design experience
• Active security clearance

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yaphank, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
