Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for one (1) permanent full-time position of Engineering Technologist I within the Engineering and Building Standards division of Planning & Development.

Under the supervision of the Program Engineer, the Engineering Technologist I is responsible for construction approvals relating to infrastructure and utilities, issuing permits and licenses relating to short term and routine construction activities on private property and in the public right of way. The Engineering Technologist I will provide technical expertise, project management and oversees the administrative functions required for engineering approvals and endorsements of applications related to new development within the Municipality.

HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 35 hours per week. Flex options to work outside of these hours and hybrid may be available.
SALARY: NSGEU 222 Level 8, $39.63/hour.
WORK LOCATION: 3rd Floor of Duke Tower (5251 Duke St, Halifax).
