    Job SummaryYou will be working as part of the Plant Design and Piping Engineering team assisting the EGS Lead, engineers, and the Project Engineer/Project Manager in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources. You will work with the schedule and reporting work progress, organize and coordinate submittals, back‑check drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing computers to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of databases. You will interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines in your day‑to‑day activities. The successful candidate must have strong organization, teamwork, problem‑solving skills, a can‑do attitude, and a desire to innovate designs.Major ResponsibilitiesThe primary role of the Engineering Technologist is to support the EGS Lead and engineers tracking of information and locating documents.Perform data searches and maintain open item punch list items status.Support meeting presentations, including preparing presentation slides.Support the preparation and review of technical documents under the direction of an engineer, including supporting CAD updates/back‑checking.Ensure work is performed to high‑quality standards while meeting the schedule.Demonstrate leadership, quality, and safety values within the work group and to interfacing disciplines.Maintain Key Process Improvement registers.Support the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.Education and Experience RequirementsRequires 2–4 years of related experience.Required Knowledge and SkillsExcellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient in software tools: MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint.Computer SkillsStrong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data through relational databases.Technical SkillsAnalyze data within technical documents to identify relevant information and properly classify that information for easy retrieval and use by project staff.Analytical SkillsAbility to monitor large quantities of information and employ efficient extraction techniques in response to information requests.Communication SkillsCommunicate with data analysts, engineers, technical experts, and management within an engineering team.Attention to DetailAccurately identify and capture relevant technical details from large documents and data sets.Coordinate with multiple disciplines and functions on assigned tasks.Interest in learning to draft intelligent piping & instrumentation diagrams.Preferred: Previous Bechtel and/or DOD or DOE project experience.BenefitsBechtel offers a robust benefits package to support career development, enhance culture, and provide time to recharge.EEO StatementBechtel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
