Salary Range: Min: $50,500/yr. Max: $60,000/yr. based on a 240 day contract.

Typical Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Position Overview:

The Grant Project Coordinator supports the Principal Investigator (PI) in the administration and execution of the NSF/ATE Grant project. This position is responsible for coordinating activities with partner colleges, employers, and project stakeholders; scheduling meetings and events; purchasing supplies; and processing invoices and billing statements. The Coordinator assists with the development and implementation of outreach and recruitment initiatives, plans and supports student boot camps and workshops, and helps build employer awareness of career opportunities in advanced manufacturing. Additional responsibilities include disseminating project outcomes and deliverables, maintaining administrative records and reports, supporting achievement of grant objectives, ensuring compliance with NSF/ATE grant requirements, and performing other duties as assigned.

To be considered you'll need:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, or a related field required.
  • Interpersonal/Customer Service skills such as the ability to work with diverse internal/external population. Maintains appropriate office/phone etiquette with all stakeholders. Ability to resolve conflict. Ability to function well as a member of a team.
  • Communication Skills such as excellent oral/written communication (grammar, punctuation, proofreading), must be able to utilize communication skills to ask the right questions of students, potential student workers, co-workers, colleagues, and others.
  • Organizational skills such as knowledge of processes and procedures across the college. Must be able to prioritize and manage time effectively. Attention to detail is required.
  • Project Management skills such as the ability to coordinate and lead events (banquets, catering, etc.). Responsible for making travel arrangements and ensuring successful planning of community events.
  • Technology skills such as knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook calendar management and electronic file management; utilization of standard office equipment (copier, fax machine, scanner, multi-line phone)

This is a grant-funded position and continuation is dependent upon performance evaluation, institutional needs, and renewal of the grant.

Retirement Benefits

Ohio Public Employees Retirement System

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohios public employees and their families. OPERS is available to all staff Members. The College contributes 14% of the employees wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 10%.

State Teachers Retirement System

The State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohios public educators. STRS is available to all faculty members. The College contributes 14% of the employees wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 14% of their wages toward the retirement benefit.

Alternative Retirement Plan

Faculty and staff may elect the Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP) in lieu of one of the state plans.

Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Accounts

Stark State College offers supplemental, voluntary savings options to help faculty and staff plan for retirement. Most employees are eligible to participate in the 403(b) and 457(b).
