A well-established oilfield services company is seeking an Engineering Test Technician to join the team. This is an on-site role supporting engineering and test lab functions in a stable manufacturing environment. The Engineering Test Technician is responsible for planning and conducting test projects, performing laboratory analysis, and supporting validation testing under the direction of engineers and other engineering support personnel.Location: Houston, TXType of Position: Temp-to-HirePay: $30-34/hrResponsibilitiesUnderstand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.Prepare jobs as directed and schedule upcoming testing.Stage equipment for testing and organize and maintain inventory of test fixtures.Conduct engineering tests and laboratory analysis under the direction of engineers, tech advisors, or other engineering support personnel.Orchestrate, assemble, and execute validation testing and other test lab functions under the direction of engineering personnel.Prepare necessary test results and recordings for reports and analyze engineering data.Confer with staff engineers, engineering manager, and others to identify problems and offer solutions.Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.RequirementsHigh school diploma requiredExperience with packers, downhole tools, or related oilfield equipment preferredExperience in a manufacturing environment preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering sketches, and drawingsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic math skills including algebra and geometry; ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeAbility to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formFamiliarity with computer networks and email systemsAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs#J-18808-Ljbffr
