Job Description

This role supports a growing medical device contract manufacturer focused on both new product introduction (NPI) and low‑volume production. You will assemble and troubleshoot electromechanical systems, support test and calibration activities, and participate in cleanroom blister pack manufacturing when needed. The position suits a hands‑on technician who enjoys variety, can independently identify issues, and is comfortable shifting between repetitive production tasks and non‑repetitive NPI work as programs ramp.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical systems using pre‑fabricated mechanical and electrical components, following work instructions and build documentation.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical builds to identify and resolve quality issues, component problems, and bill of materials (BOM) discrepancies.
• Support test and calibration activities on assemblies and subassemblies to verify performance and functionality.
• Perform occasional soldering tasks during electromechanical builds on a variety of products (non‑microscope work).
• Work in a cleanroom environment to perform blister pack assembly and related manufacturing operations when required.
• Move flexibly between cleanroom blister pack assembly and non‑repetitive NPI builds within the same day based on production needs.
• Use hand tools and standard manufacturing equipment safely and effectively during assembly and test activities.
• Follow regulated manufacturing procedures and documentation practices appropriate for medical device or similar environments.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to communicate build issues, suggest improvements, and support smooth NPI to production transitions.
• Maintain a high level of quality, cleanliness, and organization at the workstation and within the cleanroom and general manufacturing areas.

Essential Skills

• 4-5 years of hands‑on experience with electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electromechanical builds and identify quality or BOM issues.
• Experience working in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment, including adherence to procedures and cleanliness standards.
• Prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical device or aerospace.
• Proficiency with hand tools and standard assembly equipment used in electromechanical builds.
• Ability to work onsite full time in a production and cleanroom setting.
• Comfort shifting between repetitive production tasks and non‑repetitive NPI work within the same day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Soldering experience on a variety of electromechanical products (non‑microscope work).
• Exposure to medical device manufacturing processes and documentation.
• Familiarity with working in regulated environments and following strict quality and compliance procedures.
• Interest in supporting both NPI and production builds and learning new products as programs expand.
• Ability to thrive in a stable team environment with a strong technician culture and collaborative approach.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role in a manufacturing facility that combines cleanroom blister pack operations with electromechanical assembly activities. You will split time between a controlled cleanroom area and standard production floor, sometimes moving between the two within the same day. Personal protective equipment and gowning are required for cleanroom work, and you will follow established protocols for cleanliness and contamination control. The environment offers exposure to diverse products rather than a single product line, with involvement in both NPI and production builds. You will work alongside a stable team of technicians in a culture that values hands‑on problem solving, quality, and long‑term growth opportunities. Shift details will be confirmed, but the role is structured around a consistent, onsite schedule in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
