The Engineering Test Technician executes functional and performance tests on components, systems, and finished products for a diverse customer base, including the US. Government. This role involves collecting, recording, analyzing and reporting test data and results to support product quality and reliability.
Major Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional, performance and quality control tests on components, systems, and finished products.
  • Build, install, calibrate and repair test equipment, instruments and test setups.
  • Collect, record, analyze, and report test data and results, identifying defects or areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, protocols, and detailed records.
  • Work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to implement test protocols and meet product requirements.
  • Diagnose technical problems, solve routine issues and suggest repairs or upgrades.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • AA or AS degree or equivalent two year technical training in a STEM discipline.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuitry and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with test instruments and data collection and analysis tools.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow structured procedures and work safely with potentially hazardous equipment (e.g., high voltage, etc.).
