Our client, a global leader in designing, building and testing industrial drives, is seeking an Engineering Test Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Test Technician, you will be part of the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in hands-on engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. This role will be located in the Milwaukee, WI metro area. The role will not support candidates needing relocation or any type of support with visa requirements. Candidates from the Milwaukee, WI marketplace will be given top consideration. This is as contract status role.
Job Title: Engineering Test Technician
Location: Milwaukee, WIPay: $30--$33/hr. plus OT, benefits
Key Responsibilities- Applications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, and logic systems.
Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans - Perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, test programs oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
Requirements - Execute test plans with little direction.
- Develop a skeleton test report out of MCE sections as appropriate.
- Provide accurate and clear analysis of test results in order to facilitate engineering needed changes
- Be able to either identify root cause issues or request help in identifying root cause.
- Familiar with Lab Equipment
