Title: Engineering Test Technician Server Domain Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite) Experience: 5+ Years
Position Summary
Support hardware lab activities including server build, testing, validation, and debugging.
Troubleshoot server and PC platforms at both hardware and software levels.
Work with motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, memory, storage, BIOS, drivers, and operating systems.
Utilize Windows and Linux environments for diagnostics and issue resolution.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support testing, validation, and lab operations.
Key Responsibilities
Build, configure, test, and debug server systems and hardware platforms.
Perform component-level and system-level troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
Set up and maintain lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and debugger tools.
Support server cooling, thermal validation, and hardware bring-up activities.
Document test results, analyze data, and maintain accurate lab records.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in hardware testing, validation, lab support, or server debugging environments.
Strong understanding of PC architecture, BIOS, drivers, operating systems, and hardware/software interaction.
Hands-on experience with server hardware, motherboards, CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, memory, and storage.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux troubleshooting and command-line tools.
Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other lab instrumentation.
Preferred Skills
Experience with server validation, system integration, and hardware bring-up.
Knowledge of thermal testing, cooling systems, and performance troubleshooting.
Familiarity with debugger systems, data acquisition tools, and automated test environments.
Understanding of firmware/BIOS validation and Linux server platforms.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Equivalent hands-on industry experience will also be considered.
