POSITIONS PURPOSE 
Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct (part-time) English professor to teach undergraduate “Academic Research and Writing” on-ground at our main Austin location beginning Fall, 2026.
EDUCATIONAL & PROFRESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree or higher with at least 18 graduate hours in English, Literature, or Composition required.
  • University-level teaching experience in an on-ground modality preferred.

POSITION FUNCTIONS
  • Teach assigned courses as scheduled and accepted.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and accurate grading using Blackboard Ultra LMS.
  • Complete required trainings and remain current with institutional expectations.
  • Respond consistently and professionally to email communication from administration and students.
  • Ability to articulate and model the Concordia University Texas’ mission, vision, and values
About the Course:
Concordia University Texas develops Academic Research and Writing courses to support students in developing the critical reading, writing, research, and revision skills needed for college-level academic work. Students learn to locate and evaluate information ethically and legally, apply rhetorical strategies appropriate to purpose and audience, organize and develop written texts, revise their work effectively, and communicate ideas with clarity and precision.
