English/Language Arts Instructor

REQUIREMENTS:

• The candidate must be licensed by DESE in English (8-12)
• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong content area knowledge, especially argumentation & rhetoric
• Willingness and ability to differentiate instruction
• Experience with co-teaching model preferred

Experience with AP English Language course preferred or experience with Advanced Placement curriculum

Job Description:

• The candidate will teach and prepare for multiple grade levels of English courses, making strategic short-term and long-term goals and plans.
• The candidate will use data to inform their instructional practice and target areas.
• The candidate will work productively with co-teacher(s).
• The candidate will update and refine instructional materials to align with the current MA Frameworks in each subject area.
• The candidate will maintain and manage an effective and engaging learning environment that sets high expectations for all students.
• The candidate will communicate actively with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.
• The candidate will maintain up-to-date grades for students and will meet deadlines regarding uploading grades and midterm snapshots.
• The candidate will collaborate with the English Department regarding curriculum design, lesson plans, and department-wide initiatives.
• The candidate will perform related duties as required.
