English Language Learners Instructional Assistant

Work with English Language Learners

Must be proficient in written and oral communications in both English and Spanish

Ability to translate documents between languages

Interpret orally from English to Spanish and vice versa during conferences

Assist Spanish-speaking students and their families with enrollment, if necessary

Ability to work in a virtual environment when school is canceled due to inclement weather, etc.

Demonstrates sincere desire to assist students in small group and whole class setting

Must be able to work in team environment

Must be willing to take direction from and support classroom teachers

Experience working with young children preferred

Good attendance is essential

Must be able to handle a variety of duties, assignments, and tasks
