Job Title: Secondary Spanish Teacher
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The intended courses will focus on Spanish I, Spanish II, and Spanish III.
- Time and caseload will include English Language Learners at all levels.
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Strives to create and maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and-in harmony with the goals-establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the ability to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
- Provide timely communication with students and parents regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Teachers License in Spanish (World Language)
- Valid Indiana Teachers License or willing to obtain one in English as a New Language (ENL) or Teaching English Learners (TEL)
- Pass the required Expanded Criminal History Check and Expanded CPS Check
Contract Type: Certified, 183-day teachers contract
Salary: Per teachers master contract
