English Learner Teacher

The Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for an English Learner Teacher 1.0 FTE teaching position beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.

ELL teachers in the district are responsible for supporting multilingual learners in developing English language proficiency while ensuring meaningful access to grade-level academic content. This position includes providing direct English language instruction, supporting language development across content areas, and collaborating closely with classroom teachers to plan, adapt, and deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs of students. Knowledge of WIDA screeners and WIDA English Language Development Standards is essential, along with familiarity with ACCESS for ELLs assessment and its role in monitoring student growth.

The ELL teacher will monitor student progress, maintain appropriate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines, and communicate effectively with staff and families. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of second language acquisition, culturally responsive practices, and a commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments.

Qualified applicants must have a valid Wisconsin educator license in the subject area and grade level(s), or the ability to obtain this licensure.
