Job Goal:
The teacher is responsible for instructional planning, implementation and development of the curriculum while fostering an inclusive learning environment to promote student engagement and success. The teacher supervises students, implements New Jersey Student Learning Standards, and adapts curriculum to individual needs. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, monitoring student progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with colleagues and parents. Upholding school rules and participating in professional development activities are essential, as is maintaining an environment that ensures the health and safety of all students.

Develop and implement curriculum aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
Plan and deliver effective lessons using diverse teaching methods.
Provide individualized support to meet diverse student needs.
Set clear objectives, assess understanding, and monitor academic progress.
Communication and Collaboration:
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to assess and address learning challenges.
Actively participate in school-level planning, faculty meetings, committees, and other activities.
Classroom Management and Environment:
Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
Create age-appropriate activities and presentations, catering to varying ability levels.
Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies.
Professional Development and Continuous Improvement:
Engage in continuous professional development activities.
Stay abreast of current developments, new trends, and teaching methodologies.
Contribute to curriculum development and participate in in-service education.
Student Assessment and Progress Reporting:
Devise thought-provoking assignments and tests encouraging critical thinking.
