Description Benefits Position Purpose/Summary Responsible for insuring that all 21st CCLC grant/City Afterschool Program requirements are met including program components, reporting requirements, and data collection.
Essential Functions Responsible for ensuring all programming components of the 21st CCLC grant program are fully implemented in accordance with the grant requirements. Responsible for assisting staff including teachers and head recreation leaders with implementing project-based learning (PBL) activities Responsible to the project director, Educational Coordinator, and Afterschool Advisory Board. Assist in planning and curriculum development program design to foster more consistency and stem summer learning loss between in-school, afterschool and summer programs. Work with staff to increase opportunities to participants in the afterschool and summer programs to learn and practice new Math, Science, Technology, English Language Art skills, build social emotional competencies and 21st century learning skills as required by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Work with teachers and school staff to promote the After School and Summer programs and foster cooperation. Participate in follow-up staff meetings to share experiences and formulate a plan to continue partnerships between in-school and summer programs Address any additional grant-related needs or requirements including but not limited to collecting data for the pre and post Survey of Academic Youth Outcomes. Responsible for providing auxiliary services such as preparing, organizing and presenting materials to students and/or performing clerical tasks. Responsible for all recording keeping including daily attendance, snack sheets, incidence reports, etc. Facilitate food program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of Microsoft and word processing. Basic knowledge of data collection and management. Knowledge of project-based learning. Knowledge of different learning styles. Ability to work as part of a blended staff. Ability to demonstrate compassion, understanding, acceptance when working with participants, families and staff. Ability to express oneself clearly through written and verbal communication.
Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in education or related field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in an educational setting. Bi-lingual preferred.
