    TITLE: Enrollment & Match Support Specialist
    DEPARTMENT: Program
    FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
    HOURS: 40 hours
    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: As needed. Typically, no more than 25% per week.
    SALARY: Commensurate with experience
    REPORTS TO: Director of Programs
    TERRITORY COVERED: Full agency service area
    CENTRAL OFFICE: 1519 Gardiner Lane; Louisville, KY 40218
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

    Position Summary:
    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana (BBBSKY) is seeking a passionate professional to help create and support life-changing mentoring relationships that unlock the potential of youth in our community. In this role, you'll use your relationship-building skills and professional judgment to ensure volunteers and youth are thoughtfully enrolled, matched, and supported throughout their mentoring journey.

    About the Role: As an Enrollment & Match Support Specialist, you'll serve as a key relationship manager, ensuring successful matches between adult mentors ("Bigs") and youth ("Littles"). Using BBBS's evidence-based practices, you'll assess participants, facilitate matches, and provide ongoing support to create lasting relationships that lead to positive youth outcomes. Success in this role means building trust, maintaining high standards for child safety, and delivering exceptional service to volunteers, youth, and families.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct comprehensive enrollment interviews and assessments with volunteers, youth, and families
    • Lead individual and group orientations/training sessions focusing on child safety and program expectations
    • Make strategic match recommendations based on thorough assessments
    • Provide regular coaching and support to ensure match success and longevity
    • Monitor child safety and relationship development through ongoing communication with all participants
    • Facilitate crucial conversations about match concerns, behavioral changes, and policy violations - addressing challenges with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries and preserving participant dignity
    • Maintain detailed documentation and track outcomes using our database
    • Support recruitment efforts through community outreach and group presentations
    • Build genuine relationships with volunteers, parents/guardians, and youth
    • Contribute to an inclusive environment where all participants feel valued
    • Help coordinate and staff agency events, including match activities
    • Champion agency fundraising initiatives that sustain our mission
    What We're Looking For:
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in social services, Human Services, or a related field preferred 
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Kentuckiana
    • Reliable internet access for remote work capabilities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
