The Enrollment Specialist, reporting to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Operations, is entrusted with delivering frontline enrollment services to students at the Welcome Center. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service, comprehensive support, and a holistic approach to problem-solving in key areas such as registration, financial aid, placement assessments, and general student inquiries.
The Specialist provides guidance on institutional policies, procedures, and processes to prospective and current students, parents, and other stakeholders. Additionally, the Specialist will collaborate with the Assistant Director on escalated issues as necessary. This position requires the ability to troubleshoot and address complex, multi-departmental challenges, ensuring that student concerns are met with a proactive, comprehensive review of records and circumstances, aiming to resolve or offer informed guidance on multiple interrelated issues. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the Welcome Center's mission.
The salary for this position begins at $50,695.00 and is determined commensurate with education and experience.

Principal Accountabilities
- Deliver exceptional front-line customer service and support to students across Enrollment Services functions, including Registration and Student Records, Placement Testing, Financial Aid and Scholarships, and the Bursar's Office
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students by providing accurate, timely, and comprehensive information regarding enrollment processes, policies, procedures, and student account inquiries
- Resolve complex student issues and transactions efficiently and professionally, exercising sound judgment and making informed decisions that support positive student enrollment outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all student interactions, inquiries, and resolutions within the college's student information system in accordance with institutional standards and compliance requirements
- Provide student support through multiple service channels, including in-person, phone, email, and digital communication platforms, ensuring a consistent and high-quality service experience
- Participate in ongoing training, professional development, and process improvement initiatives to maintain current knowledge of institutional policies, systems, and best practices
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience required; experience with student enrollment services preferred
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills required
- Proficiency in data management and accurate data maintenance within information systems (e.g. Colleague) or customer relationship management software required
- Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborative, team-based environments required
- Strong commitment to cultural sensitivity and proven ability to communicate and engage effectively with a diverse student population required
- Demonstrated skill in data analysis and interpretation within information systems, along with the ability to make independent, informed decisions required
- Accurate data entry within information systems preferred
- Ability to respond to guidance from leadership and meet performance expectations in a fast-paced student service environment required
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts may be necessary
