Enrollment Specialist I


Job Summary


The Enrollment Specialist enrolls plan members into appropriate programs and initiatives based on their eligibility and circumstances. The role involves handling outbound and inbound calls, completing enrollment activities, and performing operational support tasks in a timely and accurate manner while following established policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound and receive inbound calls to enroll members into eligible programs and initiatives.
  • Assess member needs and eligibility to recommend appropriate plan options and services.
  • Perform a variety of operational support activities related to enrollment processing.
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with established policies and guidelines.
  • Use excellent communication skills to interface with providers, members, and internal resources.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, correspondence, procedures, and manuals as needed.
  • Utilize basic PC skills to run reports and update relevant systems and records.
  • Meet all divisional performance and quality standards.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a specialized customer service environment;or
  • Two (2) years of college coursework (at least 48 credit hours) with at least one (1) year of experience in a specialized customer service environment.
  • Ability to pass a customer service proficiency assessment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency with PCs and common office software for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Summary Qualification

  • Proficient in basic computer applications used for reporting and documentation.
