Education Qualifications

  • Associates degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Working Conditions

Experience

  • Previous experience working with students in a college setting.
  • Basic knowledge of college admission, advising, registration, and financial aid policies and procedures.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Job Duties These are the job duties for required of the position.

  • Percentage of time: 30%
  • Responsibility/Duty: Act as the face of Sheridan College making sure all visitors feel welcome and supported. Greet students and visitors warmly and ascertain how to best support their needs. Maintaining positive student relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Percentage of time: 30%
  • Responsibility/Duty: Manage central phone system for all incoming phone calls. Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to students by utilizing the correct resources/tools required.
  • Percentage of time: 20%
  • Responsibility/Duty: Schedule appointments for Admissions, Advising, Testing, and Financial Aid when appropriate. Manage communication with Admissions, Advising, Testing, and Financial Aid regarding walk-in student needs.
  • Percentage of time: 10%
  • Responsibility/Duty: Other duties as assigned.
