Looking for an Enterprise AI architect here.

Lead AI Architect (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Hybrid - Washington, DC 20581
Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Work Authorization: Authorized to work in USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
Clearance: Ability to obtain/hold a Public Trust Clearance.

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Architect to lead the design, implementation, governance, and optimization of enterprise AI solutions within a highly regulated environment. This is a senior-level opportunity for a technical leader with deep expertise in AI architecture, Microsoft AI technologies, and cloud-based AI platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee secure, scalable, and compliant enterprise AI architectures
  • Lead AI solution deployment, integration, governance, and operational management
  • Develop AI roadmaps, architecture diagrams, and technical standards
  • Drive AI adoption, performance optimization, and ROI measurement initiatives
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to deliver AI-driven solutions
  • Establish best practices for prompt engineering, responsible AI, and AI governance

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience architecting and deploying enterprise AI solutions
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure AI Foundry, including Agentic AI, RAG, model orchestration, and evaluation pipelines
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem (M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Security Copilot)
  • Experience implementing AI governance, compliance, security, and responsible AI frameworks
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into production-ready AI solutions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience:

  • AI solutions within regulated or highly secure environments
  • Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
  • Enterprise-scale AI adoption and change management initiatives
