Stand8 provides end-to-end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and globally with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Mexico, India, and more.

Our global solutions team is seeking an Enterprise Architect (Azure & Fabric) to support our global Media & Entertainment client on a high-impact enterprise Data Modernization initiative. We're looking for a senior architect who can operate across data architecture, software/integration architecture, and with Microsoft Fabric platform design. This person will help define how a large, mission-critical legacy platform evolves into a modern, cloud-native, data-driven architecture on Azure, with a strong emphasis on incremental modernization, enterprise integration, and scalable analytics enablement.

This role is ideal for someone who brings both strategic architecture leadership and hands-on technical depth. You will help shape the overall modernization approach, guide platform decisions, and support implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across enterprise systems, Azure services, legacy platforms, and downstream analytics environments. The ideal person on our team will take initiative and be able to communicate with business stakeholders and engineering teams alike.

This role can be worked remotely from withing the Unites States on PST hours. The option to work onsite in the greater Los Angeles is available and would be nice to have for those local in the area. We are setting up interviews immediately and would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Architect and define the modernization strategy for a large, database-heavy legacy platform, transitioning from SQL Server and SSIS-based solutions to a modern Azure-native data architecture.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation approach for Microsoft Fabric, including platform design, data ingestion, connectivity, OneLake organization, semantic enablement, and downstream analytics/reporting considerations.
  • Define end-to-end architecture patterns between legacy platforms, enterprise applications, source systems, and downstream analytics/reporting environments.
  • Design scalable, high-volume data pipelines with strong auditability, reconciliation, resiliency, and operational supportability.
  • Define and modernize integration patterns, including movement from file-based and batch-oriented processes to cloud-native ingestion, orchestration, API-based, and event-driven approaches where appropriate.
  • Architect solutions across Azure services including SQL Managed Instance, Blob Storage, Data Lake, App Services, Azure Functions, and related orchestration/integration capabilities.
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, and data stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable technical architectures and phased modernization roadmaps.
  • Guide teams through incremental modernization efforts, ensuring delivery can progress without big-bang rewrites or unnecessary disruption to critical business operations.
  • Establish best practices for security, governance, observability, data integrity, disaster recovery, and high availability, including architectures aligned to RTO/RPO expectations.
  • Support data-as-a-product and self-service analytics capabilities, enabling trusted downstream consumption in Power BI and related enterprise reporting environments.
  • Provide technical leadership during POC and early implementation phases, helping validate architecture decisions and de-risk delivery.
  • Create architecture documentation, system diagrams, data flows, integration patterns, and technical standards to support engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through solution design reviews, tradeoff analysis, and implementation planning.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Modernization Architect, Data Architect, Solution Architect, Integration Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Senior Software Engineer/Architect in large-scale Azure-based enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Fabric in production, ideally in an architecture or technical leadership capacity.
  • Strong experience modernizing legacy platforms built on SQL Server, stored procedures, and SSIS, with a track record of defining practical incremental modernization strategies.
  • Strong expertise in Azure data architecture and enterprise data platform design, including services such as SQL Managed Instance, Blob Storage, Data Lake, App Services, Azure Functions, and related integration capabilities.
  • Strong software architecture and integration architecture experience, with the ability to define how data platforms fit into th
