Akima is seeking a dynamic, innovative, Enterprise Architect professional. The candidate will be responsible for leading solutions for new growth opportunities and re-competitions, adhering to the Akima, LLC corporate policies and procedures.


The Enterprise Architect will be a key member of the Solutions Development Team and will participate in key strategic growth initiatives and other high-profile solution efforts. She/he will leverage the Technology Solutions & Products Group’s (TSPG’s) portfolio of IT services, technology solutions, and mission-specific professional services to lead strategic and large-scale, complex solutions. The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for leading shaping solution activities to substantially increase probability win for deals.


Responsibilities


+ Responsible for supporting senior leadership in developing strategic directions and solutions to meet customer needs.

+ Serve as a main solutions developer and technical advisor for innovative technology, IT Engineering, application development for IT solutions & services delivery & management.

+ Execute and / or facilitate solutions development efforts to support growth activities within TSPG to drive innovation and new designs into the IT application & infrastructure that led to higher efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided by TSPG.

+ Lead the development / definition of a technology vision and solutions for projects or opportunities within the existing or target client base, including but are not limited to the gap analysis, solution architecture and roadmap, Technology CONOPS and researching best practices and assessing solution options.

+ Develop white papers, briefs, proposals, and other corporate branding activities. Participate in customer meetings, oral presentations, and other growth activities as required.

+ Support Business Development and Capture team with the definition of use cases as well as Business Cases (scope, goals, deliverables, costs, timescales, plans, dependencies, resource requirements and milestones) and teaming for potential requirements.

+ Assist the business group’s human capital development and reskilling initiatives to strengthen technical skills across the environment.

+ Assist the group leadership to determine and help orchestrate the delivery of business outcomes with the implementation of new technology initiatives as requested.

+ Research and understand industry technologies and nontechnology trends/processes that apply to customer environment.

+ Develop partnerships with and maintain necessary requirements for certifications with our core Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) / Technology partners.

+ Develop and maintain relationships with industry, academia, and technical leaders within the Federal Government both DoD & FedCiv ecosystem.

+ Support the review of business opportunities and determination as related to the company strategy and initiatives.

+ Effectively align IT strategies with business goals.

+ Support other corporate initiatives and projects as needed.


Qualifications


+ Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.

+ Must have at least a 4-year degree with 10-12 years' experience.

+ Degree in Computer Science or related field and masters preferred.

+ Experience successfully architecting technical solutions and leading and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals.

+ Ability to understand needs of U.S. Federal Government client.

+ Excellent Communication and Collaboration Experience in a Team environment

+ Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development).

+ Major Industry accreditations/certifications.

+ Proficient with common office applications such as MS Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Visio.

+ Proficient in Enterprise Architecture frameworks and modeling languages.

+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
