Enterprise Architect
Summary
We are seeking an enterprise Architect Consultant to support a current-state architecture assessment for a complex enterprise application environment. This role will focus on mapping business capabilities, application components, data flows, integrations, and system dependencies to help guide future modernization and system replacement efforts. The ideal candidate can work directly with business and technical stakeholders, translate complex current-state information into clear architecture artifacts, and help leadership understand downstream impacts before major technology decisions are made.
Requirements
- Enterprise architecture, business architecture, or enterprise applications architecture experience.
- Experience documenting current-state architecture across complex business systems or application ecosystems.
- Ability to map business capabilities, application components, data flows, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Experience working with legacy, proprietary, or highly customized application environments.
- Strong stakeholder-facing skills with the ability to lead discovery sessions and SME interviews.
- Ability to translate technical and application details into business-facing architecture documentation.
- Experience creating architecture diagrams or artifacts used for impact analysis, modernization planning, or transformation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of how business processes, applications, data, and integrations connect across an enterprise.
- Consulting mindset with the ability to walk into an undefined environment, ask the right questions, organize information, and produce a usable deliverable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
Preferred
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
- Experience with ERP, HCM, project management, timekeeping, billing, payroll, document management, or enterprise file management systems.
- Experience supporting application rationalization, business transformation, or enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise file management systems including Egnyte.
