Position Overview
We are seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead architecture strategy and technology roadmaps for Utility Asset Management. This role will partner with senior business and IT leaders to develop target architectures, modernize application portfolios, and leverage emerging technologies such as AI/ML and Gen AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technology roadmaps for Asset Management, Inspections, Risk Management, Analytics & Reporting, and Digital Twins
- Assess current application environments and define future-state enterprise architecture
- Partner with business and IT leaders to align technology with strategic goals
- Evaluate AI/ML/Gen AI opportunities within Asset and Risk Management
- Lead vendor assessments, RFP support, and application rationalization
- Support strategic planning, portfolio modernization, and project delivery
- Coordinate architecture roadmaps across enterprise teams
- Develop reusable architecture patterns, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with solution and domain architects to ensure alignment
- Stay current with AI, edge computing, and other emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience
- Strong experience with enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and technology roadmaps
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of business/data architecture, business capability mapping, and process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility industry experience, particularly Asset Management or Risk Management
- Experience with SAP, GIS, enterprise reporting/analytics, and AI/ML
- Experience implementing AI in Asset/Risk Management
- Master’s degree in a related field
- TOGAF or other architecture certification
- Experience with application modernization and portfolio rationalization
Compensation:
The annual starting salary for this position is between $210000.00-$155000.00 .annually.
