CTG is seeking to fill an Enterprise Architect – Wealth Management opening for our client.

 

Location: Wilmington, Delaware (Preferred) / Remote (Will be expected to travel to Buffalo, NY or Wilmington, DE every 4–6 weeks with Monday through Thursday in office)
Duration: 6 months

Overview

Enterprise Architect supporting Wealth Management technology strategy and architecture at M&T Bank. This role drives end-to-end architecture across advisor platforms, digital client experiences, portfolio management, and regulatory reporting. The architect will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, shaping target-state architecture and enabling modernization across a complex financial ecosystem.

Top Required Skills

  • Enterprise Architecture strategy, roadmap development, and governance
  • Wealth Management domain expertise (advisor platforms, CRM, trading, portfolio mgmt, reporting)
  • Azure hybrid cloud architecture (7+ years overall, 3+ years Azure focus)
  • Solution architecture for large-scale, distributed financial systems
  • API, microservices, and integration architecture
  • Regulatory compliance architecture (SOX, GLBA, FFIEC)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
  • Experience with TOGAF or similar EA frameworks

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise architecture strategy and target-state roadmaps
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient architecture across Wealth platforms
  • Translate business strategy into actionable solution architectures
  • Provide architecture governance across delivery lifecycle
  • Partner with Wealth, Digital, Data, Risk, and Core Banking teams
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party wealth management platforms
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, security, and data governance standards
  • Communicate architecture decisions to technical and executive audiences

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years in cloud/enterprise/solution architecture roles
  • 3+ years of Azure hybrid architecture experience
  • Strong background in financial services or Wealth Management environments
  • Experience with enterprise-scale system integration and architecture design

Preferred Experience

  • Wealth Management platforms (CRM, portfolio accounting, trading systems)
  • TOGAF, Zachman, or enterprise architecture frameworks
  • DevOps and agile delivery environments
  • Vendor evaluation and platform integration strategies
  • Cloud-native architecture and modern data platforms

Key Deliverables

  • Enterprise architecture roadmaps and capability models
  • High-level and detailed solution architecture designs
  • Architecture standards, principles, and reference patterns
  • Technology assessments and vendor recommendations
  • Gap analyses and transformation impact assessments
  • Executive-level presentations and stakeholder briefings

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • No direct reports
  • Provides architectural leadership and guidance across cross-functional teams
