Enterprise Business Architect - 3618557

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Enterprise Business Architect position! This is a 6+ months contract with expected conversion to FTE and will be remote within the US with travel to Buffalo, NY every 4-6 weeks. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the development and evolution of business architecture models including capability maps, value streams, and operating models to drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives focused on operations excellence and process optimization
• Translate business strategy into actionable capability roadmaps and value stream maps, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives, operating models, and execution across the enterprise
• Partner with Enterprise Operations domain leadership to assess current-state architecture, define target-state visions, and build transformation roadmaps that incorporate industry trends and align with broader enterprise technology landscapes
• Drive investment prioritization and portfolio planning by conducting capability gap analyses, building business cases, and providing strategic recommendations to Master Architects and executive leadership
• Collaborate with Enterprise, Solution, and Data Architects to ensure business intent is reflected in technical designs while maintaining traceability from strategy through execution and outcomes
• Facilitate executive-level stakeholder engagement and architectural governance processes, preparing and presenting architecture artifacts for S1/S2 leadership meetings and architectural peer review sessions
• Research and apply emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for solving enterprise problems through new products, platforms, or system enhancements that promote reuse of existing capabilities
• Travel to Buffalo, NY every 4-6 weeks for in-person collaboration with domain leadership and stakeholder teams

What You'll Need to Have:

• 10+ years of experience in business architecture, enterprise strategy, business transformation, or strategic consulting roles within large, complex organizations
• Demonstrated expertise building business architecture artifacts including capability maps (L1-L3), value stream maps, operating models, and enterprise roadmaps using Business Architecture Guild/BIZBOK principles
• Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, FEAF) and proven ability to align business architecture with technology delivery lifecycles
• Experience in financial services industry with understanding of banking structures, regulations, risk considerations, and operational frameworks
• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder facilitation skills with proven ability to influence without authority across complex, matrixed organizations
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with delivery teams to translate strategic vision into executable initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field with 7+ years relevant experience (or 11+ years combined higher education and work experience; Graduate degree preferred)
• Preferred certifications: Certified Business Architect (CBA®) from Business Architecture Guild, TOGAF, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification

Pay Range: $70-80/hr
