Description
SAIC is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a critical position on SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.
As the Enterprise Data Architect, you will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting the acquisition of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) cloud-based data framework services across multiple security enclaves. SAIC's client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation and information sharing. The qualified candidate will assist and advise Government managers to develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture to support strategic decision-making and align with mission objectives.
Job Responsibilities to include:
- Architect advanced cross-program solutions that automate data management and curation; performing solution engineering, integrated architecture development, and operational integration of multi-INT tools and data that directly shape mission outcomes across the full breadth of the National Security enterprise.
- Shape future system planning to meet urgent National Security priorities by providing oversight of development contractors to ensure alignment with mission needs.
- Provide specialized systems engineering and operations expertise supporting definition, development and integration of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) software capabilities.
- Gather and decompose requirements, guiding stakeholders to best-practices in building modern data solutions predominantly using the AWS technology stack
- Drive technical and architectural direction of data evolution roadmap that includes data ingestion, storage, reporting, MLS solutions, RBAC/ABAC access controls, security markings, and data science analytics
- Apply systems analysis and design methodology assessments to identify technical debt, architectural runway and efficiency trade-offs against current and proposed/desired cloud-based software system design
- Develop briefings and documentation material including developing technical roadmaps and the acquisition strategies/documentation to implement them
- Support SAFe agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree in business, engineering, science, or related discipline and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with CI Polygraph
- 3+ years of experience in data modeling and/or data architecture
- Strong engineering background with knowledge of cloud software architectures, data management practices and IC/DOD ontologies
- Experience supporting system architecture, design or development in an AWS/C2S environment
- Domain knowledge in Agile software development practices
- Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments
- Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high-tempo environment
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
