Enterprise Infrastructure Lead

Hands-on Infrastructure Engineering Lead to drive the operation, reliability, and modernization of a global enterprise infrastructure environment. This is not a "high-level oversight role; looking for someone who remains deeply technical and actively involved in day-to-day engineering, troubleshooting, and design work, while also providing strong technical leadership to a small infrastructure team and key vendors.

In this role, you will own and actively work within a complex hybrid environment spanning on-prem data centers and Microsoft Azure, ensuring enterprise platforms are secure, resilient, and continuously evolving to meet business and regulatory demands.

What You'll Do

• Stay hands-on in the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure across VMware, Windows Server, storage, backup, and cloud environments
• Lead and directly participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues
• Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, DR improvements, and hybrid cloud expansion
• Oversee global infrastructure operations while remaining technically engaged in execution, not just governance
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards

Environment & Technologies

You will work across a modern enterprise stack including VMware, Microsoft Azure, Citrix / AVD, Windows Server, Commvault, Azure Backup, Zerto, Microsoft ASR, ServiceNow (CMDB/ITOM), SolarWinds, PagerDuty, and VMware vROps.

Required

• Proven enterprise infrastructure experience
• Experience in a hands-on technical leadership role, not just people management
• Proven ability to remain deeply technical while leading infrastructure teams and operations
• Strong background in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
• Experience with data center operations, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and enterprise monitoring
• Ability to act as a technical escalation point and actively solve production issues
• Experience working in global, enterprise-scale environments
