The Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Team within Information Technology (IT) manages applications used Enterprise wide, primarily focused on collaboration and modernization tools. We provide design, implementation and support services to all departments within Wake County.

As an Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration Systems Engineer, you''ll work closely with multiple divisions within Information Technology, as well as business units across the county, to provide administration, design, implementation, integration and support for the Microsoft 365 platform and related technologies. This position offers the opportunity to improve enterprise collaboration services, implement new capabilities, troubleshoot complex issues and help modernize the County''s digital workplace.
You''ll manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while supporting the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID and related Microsoft 365 services.
In this role you''ll assist with platform administration, system integrations, identity and access management, troubleshooting, governance, security, service optimization, and the implementation of new Microsoft 365 capabilities that enhance collaboration and productivity across the organization.
NOTE: This is a 100% remote position and may be subject to 24-hour on call requirements with the ability to be onsite at any Wake County location.
