CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
Availability: Incumbents may occasionally work evening and weekend hours. Some overtime, on-call, or call back work may be required.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifying candidates must meet the requirements in ALL of the following categories:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTFour (4) years of full-time equivalent experience working in a software development environment, performing business systems analysis, architecting, and project planning for the purpose of developing business applications.
Qualifying experience must include three (3) or more of the following primary development languages, frameworks, and tools:
Typical qualifying experience may include performing duties equivalent to the San Bernardino County Programmer Analyst III classification and above.
LEADERSHIP REQUIREMENTMust include a minimum of two (2) years working as a project leader for large-scale application development projects. Experience must also include the use of a systems development methodology (Agile/Waterfall methodologies).
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSixty (60) semester (90 quarter) units of completed college-level courses in programming, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Substitution: One (1) additional year of qualifying work experience may substitute for the education requirement.
Desired Qualifications
A bachelors degree in programming, computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a closely related field is preferred.
Candidates with experience working with large information technology infrastructures are strongly encouraged to apply.
