Enterprise Risk Executive (Banking)

We are recruiting for a growing, publicly traded bank seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Executive to serve as its Deputy Chief Risk Officer. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with relocation assistance available. This newly created role will serve as second-in-command to the Chief Risk Officer and offers a direct succession path to the CRO position.

This opportunity requires broad, enterprise-wide risk leadership within banking. Candidates whose experience is concentrated primarily in Compliance, BSA/AML, Internal Audit, Credit Risk, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, or Operational Risk are unlikely to be the right match.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the daily operations of the Enterprise Risk Management function

• Lead enterprise risk assessments, risk appetite development, RCSAs, KRIs, and monitoring programs

• Present risk findings and recommendations to executive leadership and Board committees

• Oversee Model Risk, Third-Party Risk, Data Governance, and Business Continuity

• Direct risk policy development, regulatory exam readiness, and remediation activities

• Evaluate acquisition-related risk and support integration planning

• Assume CRO responsibilities when authority is delegated

What We’re Looking For

• Progressive Enterprise Risk Management leadership within banking or financial services

• Experience with a mature ERM framework at a financial institution with preferably $10 billion or more in assets

• Exceptional candidates from institutions with approximately $5 billion–$10 billion in assets may be considered

• Broad knowledge of strategic, operational, credit, regulatory, and governance risk

• Experience interacting with the OCC, FDIC, and/or Federal Reserve

• Strong executive and Board-level communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree required

• MBA, FRM, PRM, CRCM, or CRC designation preferred

• Acquisition, regulatory remediation, or Consent Order experience is a plus
