Enterprise Solutions Architect Contractor

Location: Dallas/Irving, TX or Jacksonville, FL; hybrid work arrangement with required attendance at the client office three days per week.

Work you'll do

We are looking for a Solutions Architect Contractor, who will design and support the implementation of technology solutions that address business needs and align with enterprise architecture standards. This role will focus on modernizing data platforms and developing a Data as a Product strategy for the fraud domain.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a Data as a Product strategy for the applicable business domain.
• Develop target-state data architectures using modern approaches, including: Lakehouse architecture, Data mesh, Data virtualization and reduced-ETL architectures
• Define migration strategies from legacy batch-ETL platforms to modern data architectures.
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects to align domain-level designs with portfolio architecture.
• Define interaction requirements for components, subsystems, and interfaces.
• Translate solution requirements into blueprints that address business, technical, and enterprise security needs.
• Support architecture activities across a portfolio of solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise in solution architecture.
• Design and support the implementation of scalable technology solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in data architecture, big data architecture, or solution architecture.
• Extensive experience working as a Data Architect on large-scale data platform modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience with data architecture and ETL concepts.
• Hands-on familiarity with lakehouse, data mesh, and data virtualization approaches.
• Practical experience migrating legacy ETL platforms, such as Ab Initio or Informatica, to modern data architectures.
• Experience defining architecture blueprints, integration requirements, and target-state designs.
• Ability to align solution designs with enterprise architecture, security, and business requirements.
• Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking and Capital Markets industry experience, specifically within the fraud domain.
• Experience developing data strategies for fraud detection, prevention, or investigation.
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms and modernization programs.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $70-$75 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
