Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire an Enterprise System Architect to support our federal client in Silver Spring, MD. Applicants must be extremely knowledgeable in enterprise architecture and ideally have a strong understanding of managing and operating high-performance computing systems.
Essential Functions
- Acting as the liaison, reporting to and coordinating with U.S. government representatives at multiple levels, specifically coordinating present and future compute and enterprise data center requirements
- Maintaining knowledge of management and operations of enterprise high performance computing Industry practices
- Supporting efficiency working groups in software tool development, configuration management, workflow management, and container development
- Ensuring contractual conditions of performance of R&D HPCS contracts are met and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies
- Ensuring user applications are working properly on test systems before acceptance
- Reviewing the aggregated system capabilities versus stakeholder requirements periodically and inform R&D HPCS Deputy Director of risks, conflicts, and delays in meeting program objectives
- Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to the enterprise system
- Managing transitions, enhancements, and disposal of enterprise system components
- Preparing codes for future production architecture and monitor architectural evolution
- Evaluating software engineering strategies
- Preplanning so as to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Analyzing, managing and mitigating risks to the enterprise capability
- Developing and reporting metrics to support the paradigm of continuous improvement and meet the reporting needs of customers, leadership, and stakeholders
- Reviewing and managing changes to facility-related requirements that impact enterprise capabilities
- Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client
