DESCRIPTION:

The Enterprise Systems Analyst is responsible for the strategic oversight, operations, and ongoing optimization of the organization's Epicor Kinetic ERP system, business analytics, and IT vendor relationships. This role ensures the ERP platform and third-party IT services effectively support business operations, integrate with enterprise systems, and align with organizational goals. The position blends ERP functional ownership, technical data management, project leadership, and IT vendor governance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ERP System Management

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Epicor ERP system.
  • Ensure ERP functionality supports business processes and delivers accurate, reliable data for operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate upgrades, patches, and enhancements while minimizing business disruption.

Business Collaboration & Integration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and IT) to gather requirements and optimize ERP-driven workflows.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Epicor ERP and other enterprise systems.

Data Analysis & Management

  • Create and execute SQL queries to analyze ERP data and identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Validate, process, and control mass ERP data updates to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal standards.
  • Analyze data processing modules to recommend system and process enhancements.

EDI Management

  • Support new customer EDI implementations and maintain existing EDI mappings within Epicor ERP, including:

IT Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Conduct vendor meetings, evaluate proposals, analyze pricing, and negotiate services where appropriate.
  • Oversee IT-related purchasing, invoice review, and expense tracking to ensure cost control and budget alignment.

Project Management

  • Manage ERP engagements, including upgrade planning, integrations, process optimizations, and risk management.
  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders and IT staff to turn business needs into technical specifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Hands-on experience in operational support of ERP systems, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how they translate into ERP functionality.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in ERP upgrades or large system initiatives.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
  • Proficiency with Epicor Kinetic ERP (preferred).
  • Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with EDI transactions and ERP-based EDI management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong organizational and vendor management skills with attention to detail and cost control.
