Work you'll do

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Testing Solution Architect Contractor for a contract role supporting complex, multi-team release programs. The contractor will be responsible for test architecture, end-to-end testing coordination, test execution readiness, defect tracking, and release-level testing documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review PTS and Confluence feature documents to determine whether end-to-end (E2E) testing is required, and initiate Test Plan Input during the first impacted Sprint.
  • Coordinate discussions with Business Analysts, Business Sponsors, delivery teams, and testing teams to define E2E scenarios, identify impacted systems and teams, resolve open items, and obtain sign-off at least one week before UAT or Unified Testing.
  • Coordinate TBED criteria and UAT1/UAT2 submissions in accordance with the Release Calendar.
  • Coordinate Test Data Management requests through SharePoint and confirm the availability of required environments, data, access, and supporting materials.
  • Ensure user stories and test scripts are uploaded to the correct Zephyr Release Fix Version and aligned with the Jira Fix Version.
  • Validate execution readiness and support non-Zephyr teams in creating Excel-based test scripts using the required testing template.
  • Distribute Testing Status updates based on project risk, monitor progress, identify schedule slippage, and coordinate corrective actions to support release milestones.
  • Use Jira dashboards and targeted queries to confirm that all impacted Scrum Teams, including late-joining teams, are included.
  • Monitor Jira defects by aging, severity, priority, ownership, and status.
  • Coordinate follow-up on Vendor- or Partner-owned defects through the responsible internal developer contact.
  • Track retesting, defect closure evidence, risks, and dependencies, and communicate critical issues to stakeholders.
  • Prepare the TER Readiness Checklist and Test Exit Report, documenting testing scope, results, defects, risks, open items, exit criteria, approvals, and supporting records.

Required Skills

  • 6-9 years of experience in test architecture, QA testing, test management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience supporting complex, multi-team release programs.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end testing, UAT, Unified Testing, regression testing, and release readiness.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Zephyr or an equivalent test management platform.
  • Experience with Jira Fix Version management, dashboards, targeted queries, and defect tracking.
  • Experience validating Zephyr Release and Jira Fix Version alignment.
  • Experience preparing or coordinating Test Plans, Test Scripts, TER Readiness Checklists, and Test Exit Reports.
  • Experience coordinating test environments and Test Data Management.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to identify risks, manage dependencies, and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Experience working with Agile or Scrum delivery teams.
