Entry Level Assemblers Needed!


Job Description


As an assembler, you will be responsible for creating sub-assemblies consisting of printed circuit boards with applicable components. You will also assemble a completed electro-mechanical unit utilizing sub-assemblies, air tools, and various miscellaneous parts.


Responsibilities


+ Assemble printed circuit boards by inserting applicable components in a through-hole fashion using specific work instructions, procedures, and various hand and air tools.

+ Install sub-assemblies and miscellaneous hardware into specific unit enclosures at a final assembly level using specific work instructions, procedures, and various hand and air tools.

+ Conduct electrical function tests at the printed circuit board and final assembly level using test fixtures provided by electrical engineering.

+ Perform other duties as required, such as packing.


Essential Skills


+ Production experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

+ Electro-mechanical aptitude.

+ Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams to achieve department/production goals.

+ Strive for continuous process improvement in daily activities.

+ Ability to follow through on tasks assigned to completion.

+ Ability to lift up to 26 pounds.

+ Must be able to stand at the work station for 8+ hours.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ High School Diploma/GED.

+ Assembler experience is a plus.

Work Environment


This position is within a fast-paced production work area with tight quarters. Eye protection and protective shoes are required, and no loose clothing is allowed. The work environment supports a range of shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, each with specific working hours. This is a role that requires adherence to deadlines and attention to detail.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Kingstown, RI.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
