    Description

    A Newport Beach litigation firm is seeking a motivated entry-level litigation attorney to join its growing team. The firm represents individuals in complex medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury cases and offers an excellent opportunity for a new attorney to gain hands-on litigation experience.

    This role provides exposure to all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.

    Practicing in personal and serious injury, motor vehicle accidents, defective / dangerous products, medical malpractice, defective medical devices and professional liability.  Particularly:Personal Injury

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and briefs • Assist with discovery, depositions, and case strategy • Review and analyze medical records and expert reports • Assist in preparation for mediations, hearings, and trial • Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel • Support senior attorneys with case development and litigation strategy

    Requirements

    • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school • Admitted to the California State Bar (or pending admission) • Strong legal research and writing skills • Interest in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation • Ability to work in a fast-paced litigation environment

    Preferred

    • Internship, clerkship, or experience in civil litigation • Exposure to medical malpractice or personal injury law
