BAM! Automotive is looking for an
Entry-Level Automotive Technician who wants more than just a job changing oil and rotating tires.
We're looking for someone who's mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to become a skilled automotive technician.
Start at $20/hour with the opportunity to earn up to $45/hour within your first year as your skills and performance improve.
You don't need years of experience. You need a great attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
We're an independently owned automotive repair shop that believes great technicians are developed through training, experience, and working alongside talented professionals.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Level 1 Technician, you'll build a foundation in automotive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Maintenance: Perform oil changes, fluid services, filter replacements, and scheduled maintenance.
- Tires: Perform tire rotations, replacement, balancing, and pressure checks.
- Inspections: Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Basic Repairs: Perform automotive repairs appropriate to your skill level.
- Vehicle Systems: Learn to inspect brakes, suspension, and other automotive systems.
- Quality Control: Ensure work is completed correctly and safely.
- Teamwork: Work with experienced technicians and service advisors.
- Training: Continuously develop your skills to advance into more complex repairs and diagnostics.
What We're Looking For
Experience is helpful. Attitude and work ethic are essential.
- Genuine interest in automobiles and mechanical systems.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or aptitude.
- Strong desire to learn and improve.
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work.
- Dependability and a professional attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback.
- Valid driver's license.
Automotive experience, technical school, or certifications are a plus, but not required.
