Job Summary
If you're interested in an Entry Level Biologist job, then this is the best role for you! The STL Transformation Production Team is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to support the pipeline by supplying transgenic crops and sterile products for testing. The role involves plant tissue culture work, including transformation and molecular characterization of transgenic events. It also includes supporting production of sterile products and maintaining high standards of lab cleanliness and collaboration.
Job Description
- Perform plant tissue culture tasks, including agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation
- Conduct molecular characterization of transgenic events
- Transfer transformed plants to soil for further development
- Prepare and handle chemical components and lab equipment
- Supply sterile agar and liquid products to global customers
- Ensure timely delivery of production outputs
- Maintain and clean laboratory spaces
- Support overall lab operations and teamwork in a production environment
Skills Required
- Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated with ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Experience with databases
- Familiarity with plant tissue culture and lab production environments (preferred)
- Experience with media preparation and sterile techniques (preferred)
- Knowledge of molecular cloning and gene regulation (preferred)
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Microbiology
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
- Willingness to work in a production/lab environment
- Ability to work occasionally early mornings and late evenings
- Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
- Strong commitment to lab safety and cleanliness standards
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $27.21 to $35.21 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
