Vaccine Production Technician / Manufacturing Associate (for entry-level Biology graduates)
Location: Athens, GA Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months Vaccination Requirement: Rabies vaccine required
Schedule
Shift: 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM
Overtime as needed
Weekend and holiday work required as business needs dictate
Job Summary
Responsible for performing activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment. The role utilizes virus and cell culture techniques and follows USDA regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Production
Prepare vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment.
Perform virus and cell culture-related processes in accordance with USDA regulations.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during all manufacturing activities.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Maintain technical data and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory, and documentation standards.
Training & Team Support
Assist with training and coaching both new and current employees on required processes and skills.
Work collaboratively within a team-oriented production environment.
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Escalate production process issues and workflow disturbances as needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives (AAI).
Participate in site projects, deviation investigations, and change control activities.
Safety
Demonstrate a strong commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives.
Required Skills
Experience or knowledge of clean room operations and aseptic techniques.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
High attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Basic math skills.
Equipment and automation troubleshooting abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Education
Biology degree preferred
