Job Summary

The Entry Level Chemist supports laboratory and formulation activities through hands-on testing, data collection, and analysis. This role requires a strong foundation in chemistry, laboratory safety, and physical stability testing, along with the ability to operate laboratory-scale mixing and milling equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to adapt to changing priorities.

 

Job Description

  • Conduct laboratory testing and experiments in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Perform physical stability analyses, including viscosity, density, and other relevant measurements.
  • Operate laboratory-scale mixing and milling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Accurately record laboratory data, observations, test results, and experimental conditions.
  • Support formulation development and optimization activities.
  • Prepare and handle chemical materials and laboratory samples following appropriate safety protocols.
  • Analyze results, identify potential issues, and apply critical thinking to laboratory findings.
  • Maintain organized laboratory work areas, equipment, samples, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to support research, testing, and formulation activities.
  • Manage multiple laboratory tasks while responding quickly to shifting priorities.

 

Skills Required

  • 1–3 years of relevant laboratory or chemistry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of chemistry, chemicals, and fundamental chemical principles.
  • Laboratory experience with physical stability testing, including viscosity and density measurements.
  • Ability to safely operate laboratory-scale mixing and milling equipment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities effectively.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Bachelor-level knowledge of chemistry and chemical principles is required.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks
  • Start Time: 08:00 AM
  • Working knowledge of formulation development is preferred.
  • Experience with physical stability testing and laboratory-scale processing is strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and proper chemical handling procedures.

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Estimated Salary: $24.14 to $32.14 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
