Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is hiring for an **Entry-Level Civil Engineer** in our **North Charleston, SC** office. This position is expected to start immediately. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Assist with plans, specifications, and permitting + Perform civil engineering modeling, design, and drafting work for engineers and project managers + Assist with preparing/reviewing cost estimates, job budgets and schedules + Support preparation of final plans, reports, and calculations + Coordinate work with other engineers and multi-discipline professionals + Document project information, author reports and other necessary correspondence for the project files + Troubleshoots project related problems and provides engineering support + Assist with resolution of construction issues and conducting site observations **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution + Proficient with MS Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint + Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD) + Must be able to conduct field work, tolerate variable environmental conditions, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift and carry at least 50 pounds. + Must be able to travel on business periodically for periods of up to 2-3 days + Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive rental vehicles on behalf of the company + Must be able to work collaboratively in teams and independently when necessary + Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) + Minimum 6 months technical work experience in civil engineering or related field (e.g. summer internships, Co-Op). **Additional Information** * Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution + Proficient with MS Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint + Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD) + Must be able to conduct field work, tolerate variable environmental conditions, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift and carry at least 50 pounds. + Valid US Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. + Must be able to work collaboratively in teams and independently when necessary + Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications:** + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) + Minimum 6 months technical work experience in civil engineering or related field (e.g. summer internships, Co-Op) **Additional Information** + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + Frequent travel is a requirement of this role.
