Summary:As a Composites Layup Technician at RACE, you will be responsible for performing tasks to help build high-performance parts for automotive seating systems. This role will be trained to work with carbon fiber and other cutting‑edge materials.Key ResponsibilitiesComply with written work instructions, standard procedures, and processes to assemble composite materialsWork with materials like carbon fiber, fiberglass, and aramid (Kevlar)Use tools like routers, sanders, and hand tools to shape and finish partsAssist in fitting core components with attention to close tolerancesAssist in laying out and marking dimensions and reference lines on materials to develop and trace patterns of product or parts or use templatesDeliver quality products and services on timeHandle materials safely and follow workplace safetyAssist in performing non‑routine and non‑repetitive procedures in the fabrication, curing, build‑up, and assembly of various types of composite materialsGain basic familiarity with composite technology, including hi‑temp plastics, pre‑impregnated epoxy composite materials, graphite epoxy, wet graphite, and silicone injection moldingQualificationsHigh School DiplomaPrevious work experience in a plant or production environmentLift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis using proper lifting techniquesWork with small hand tools, including routers, die grinders, band saws, and Dremel tools for layup and assembly tasksUse basic mathematics skills and precision measuring tools to support layup and assembly processesAttention to detailBasic computer skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
