Job Title: Entry Level Environmental Representative
Location: Lockport, LA
Position Overview: The Entry Level Environmental Representatives responsibilities will include inspecting and maintaining the facility’s handling, storage, and disposal of waste; including managing the air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Waste collection, storage, and transport (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, industrial solid, special waste, tires, sewage/biosolids).
- Blasting and Painting Engineering Controls.
- VOC and Fugitive Housekeeping Plan.
- SPC/SPCC Plan.
- SPC/SPCC inspections.
- Air opacity checks and log completion.
- Hazardous Waste inspections.
- Secondary containment drainage logs.
- Rain Gauge Report/Rainfall logs.
- SWPPP inspections.
- Performs sanitary unit maintenance, as applicable.
- Assists facility and corporate HSE personnel in carrying out various environmental duties.
- Ability to collect required water samples.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year working experience in Environmental compliance.
- EMT, First Responder and First Aid Training is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of environmental practices and procedures.
- Capable of monitoring/controlling those procedures on-site.
- Highly motivated, proficient in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.), Oracle experience a plus.
