Entry-Level Estimator

A growing construction and mechanical services organization in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Entry-Level Estimator to join its team. This full-time position offers a salary range of $55,000–$70,000, depending on experience, and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within estimating and project operations.

This role is designed for someone who is eager to learn. The Entry-Level Estimator will work closely with experienced estimators and leadership while learning how to prepare estimates, review project specifications, coordinate with vendors, and support ongoing construction and service projects.

The ideal Entry-Level Estimator candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in growing within a collaborative, family-oriented construction/mechanical environment where employees are trusted and supported.

This role will split time between the office and occasional site visits/customer meetings, and this is an on-site, in-person position in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing project estimates and bid documentation
  • Review project plans, specifications, and scope requirements
  • Support senior estimators with pricing, takeoffs, and vendor coordination
  • Participate in customer meetings and occasional site visits
  • Maintain organized project and bid documentation
  • Assist with gathering subcontractor and supplier pricing information
  • Coordinate with internal operations and project teams
  • Learn estimating software and systems, including AutoBid

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Interest in construction, estimating, project coordination, or mechanical systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and project data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment
  • Experience with estimating software or AutoBid is a plus, but not required

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time position
