We are currently hiring an Entry-Level Exhibit Carpenter / Fabricator for one of our clients. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic carpentry, woodworking, or cabinet-making experience who is looking to build their skills in a fast-paced production environment.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team producing and repairing tradeshow exhibit components, retail displays, and other custom structures.
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Friday & Saturday: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Mandatory overtime
Responsibilities:
Laminate exhibit cabinets and display components
Assist with construction and refurbishment of exhibits, retail displays, and permanent structures
Work with materials including plywood, MDF, acrylic, and metal
Assist with installation of lighting, audio/visual, and graphic components
Assist with assembly and installation of custom structures in tradeshow, retail, and corporate environments
Perform box assembly, internal crate packing, and stenciling
Safely operate hand tools and power tools
Help maintain raw material inventory when assigned
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Properly care for company equipment
Follow company safety policies and procedures
Work cooperatively and professionally with coworkers, supervisors, and customers
Qualifications:
Basic carpentry, woodworking, cabinet-making, or related experience
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking saws
Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity
Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions
Ability to work independently once assignments are given
Ability to follow direction and work well under supervision
Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
Willingness to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons
Forklift experience is a plus; certification can be provided after hire
Experience with high-pressure plastic laminates, residential trim, or casework is a plus
Basic computer skills are a plus
Work Environment:
This position works primarily in a fast-paced tradeshow exhibit house, where meeting production deadlines and maintaining quality are important. The position reports to the Production Foreman and requires adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
