Pay Rate: $18.00-$19.00/hr

Description: ENTRY-LEVEL FIRE ALARM / VOICE & DATA TECHNICIAN AUSTIN, TX

Pay: $18 $19/hour

We are looking for an entry-level technician interested in building a career in Fire Alarm, Voice & Data, and Low-Voltage Systems.

Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling
Install and service fire alarm devices, control panels, modules, and notification appliances
Pull, route, label, and terminate CAT5e/CAT6 and other communication cabling
Perform basic continuity testing and cable identification
Assist with fire alarm system testing and troubleshooting
Read and follow low-voltage drawings, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
Assist with structured cabling, voice/data, and network installations
Use hand tools, test equipment, tone generators, and basic meters
Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations

Qualifications:

Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
Basic knowledge of hand tools and electrical concepts
Ability to follow technical instructions and wiring diagrams
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Comfortable working on ladders and at active job sites
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
Fire alarm, electrical, low-voltage, IT, or construction experience is a plus
