Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an Entry-Level Help Desk Technician for an onsite contract role in Honolulu, HI.
This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career IT professional with less than one year of experience who is looking to build hands-on help desk experience. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, proactive, and comfortable being mentored by more senior IT staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic Tier 1 support for end users
- Help triage technical issues, gather information, and open support tickets
- Assist with password resets, basic error messages, and general user questions
- Escalate more complex issues to the appropriate support tier
- Image laptops and desktops using Microsoft MECM
- Provision iPhones and iPads through the company’s mobile device management system
- Archive, wipe, and repurpose returned IT equipment
- Support IT inventory cleanup and organization
- Assist onsite IT lead with hands-on support tasks as needed
- Provide meeting room support and guest Wi-Fi assistance
Qualifications
- Recent college graduate or entry-level IT candidate with less than one year of experience
- Strong interest in building a career in help desk or IT support
- Basic understanding of computers, mobile devices, and end-user support
- Ability to follow instructions, document issues clearly, and ask good questions
- Professional, reliable, and willing to take on a variety of support tasks
- Go-getter attitude with a strong desire to learn and be mentored
- Comfortable working onsite in Honolulu, HI
